The payment collection process from a customer typically involves several steps, illustrated here using the example of a borrower repaying a loan amount to a lender who has integrated with Zrika.
BBPS Bill Pay
The Bharat Bill Payment System, abbreviated as BBPS, offers customers the convenience of paying bills for over 20,000 businesses spanning various categories such as utility bills, loan EMIs, school fees, and more. This is made possible through a network of both offline and online agents.
An agent, recognized as a registered BBPS entity, is authorized to collect payments for BBPS billers across all categories. Interested parties can register as agents on BBPS to efficiently collect BBPS bill payments using Zrika APIs on their supported collection channels, whether offline or online. Utilizing Zrika BillPay, businesses can provide customers with a seamless BBPS bill payment experience directly on their app or website.
This encompasses the entire process, from selecting the business to pay to retrieving and settling bills. For BBPS billers, the platform enables the direct collection of payments for their business.
Zrika BBPS BillPay is integrated with NPCI and offers straightforward RESTful APIs, including some asynchronous options. This flexibility allows users to choose to consume only the APIs or, optionally, subscribe to notifications provided by Zrika through webhooks.
Whatsapp Collect
In 2018, WhatsApp introduced Business APIs, empowering businesses to engage with their customers through their WhatsApp accounts. These APIs provide businesses with the capability to create diverse customer experiences. With Zrika WhatsApp Collect, businesses can now seamlessly facilitate payment collection through WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp Collect product from Zrika allows businesses to directly collect payments using WhatsApp. Through our "pay now" buttons, we offer customers a smooth and efficient three-click payment experience. Business Solution Providers (BSPs) are entities authorized by Facebook to manage and distribute WhatsApp Business accounts. Zrika has strategically partnered with leading BSPs to develop an advanced WhatsApp collection infrastructure.
Within Zrika, WhatsApp Collect is categorized into two distinct product constructs:
Collection Reminders: This feature allows you to send payment reminders directly to your customers, prompting them to make payments.
Collection Journey: In this construct, your customers can initiate a WhatsApp chat to retrieve information about their latest outstanding bill with your business. This interactive journey enables customers to conveniently initiate and complete payments using any available UPI app on their mobile devices, all directly through WhatsApp.
UPI DeepLinks
UPI, developed by NPCI, is a rapid real-time payment system facilitating instant fund transfers to any bank account. By utilizing Collect DeepLinks compliant with NPCI specifications, merchants can empower their customers to seamlessly navigate to a UPI app with pre-filled payment details.
Businesses aiming to collect payments for products or services provided to customers can leverage UPI DeepLinks. Simply furnish payment details and generate deep links compatible with supported UPI apps. This allows customers to make payments through any UPI app on their mobile devices, such as PhonePe or GPay.
Initiation by Merchant: The merchant transmits payment details to Zrika and, in return, receives a distinctive payment link designed for the customer.
Customer Interaction: The customer, upon receiving the payment link, clicks on it. Subsequently, they select their preferred UPI app and enter the necessary mPIN to execute a successful payment.
Webhook Notification: After the successful payment, Zrika triggers a webhook notification. This notification provides information about the completed payment, enabling the merchant to update the transaction status on their system.
Settlement Process: Zrika, upon receiving the payment, initiates the settlement process. The amount is settled to the merchant in accordance with the configured settlement timeline.
